Defence Equipment: Finance
- Question
-
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to the Defence Investment Plan, published on 30 June 2026, Table 6: Spending on the Land Domain, what is the breakdown of a) projects and b) proportion of funding allocated to each project from the £160 million against Personal Weapons and Equipment.
- Answer
-
Following publication of the Defence Investment Plan, work to finalise the detailed allocation of funding across the Land Domain personal weapons and equipment portfolio remains ongoing. However, I can confirm that this investment will support the delivery of a range of personal equipment, including body armour, ballistic plates, weapon sights, night vision equipment and clothing. It will also support longer-term plans to establish domestic production of small arms.
