To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to the answer of 21 January 2026 to question 105107 on Artillery, what progress he has made on establishing a timeline for replacing the L118 105mm Light Gun by 2030.

An assessment of the future light fires capability requirement remains ongoing. No decisions have yet been taken on a replacement for the L118 105mm Light Gun, including the timeline for any replacement capability.
