To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to the Defence Investment Plan, published on 30 June 2026, paragraph 111, what is the full scope of the enhancement of rail deployment capabilities to move the Army to anywhere in Europe faster and more efficiently.

Drawing on Joint Support Enablement investment set out in the Defence Investment Plan, the Ministry of Defence intends to establish an integrated approach to international and domestic rail movements working with UK and allied industry. This framework will help enable the outload, sustainment and recovery necessary for warfighting and national defence.
