Military Bases: Infrastructure
- Question
-
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to his Department's annual report and accounts 2025 to 2026, what was the specific nature of the £1,500,000 constructive loss of the Secondary Facilities Project - Project Terminated.
- Answer
-
The loss relates to a maintenance facility for the Low Level Transfer Trolley within the Secondary Facilities project, an element of the Submarine Waterfront Infrastructure (Future) programme. A decision was taken to terminate the facility during the design phase, following an increase in forecast costs and assessment that value for money could no longer be achieved. No physical works were undertaken.
