Home Office: Remote Working
- Question
-
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what is the percentage office workplace attendance requirement in each of the department’s offices, broken down by location; and whether attendance statistics are collated for each of those individual offices.
- Answer
-
Hybrid working is a non-contractual arrangement subject to local business need and role requirements. Where hybrid working can be accommodated, employees should work an average of at least 60% of their contracted working hours from their Home Office workplace unless they have a temporary or permanent arrangement to do otherwise. The time spent in the workplace is averaged out over a period of up to three months. The policy is location agnostic, and the Home Office does not record attendance by location.
