A14: Trees
- Question
-
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to the answer of 16 July 2026, to question 18240 on A14: Trees, what was the outcome of National Highways September 2026 survey on survival rates of replanted saplings.
- Answer
-
As part of the trial replanting programme along the A14 roadside earlier this year, National Highways commissioned an interim survey of the replanted trees to assess survival rates. The survey was undertaken in late September 2026, and National Highways expects to receive the results by the end of October 2026. National Highways intends to undertake a further survey in the spring or summer of 2027 to assess longer-term establishment and survival rates of the replanted trees.
