- Question
-
To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what assessment she has made of the level of risk of the spread of Avian Flu arising from the practice of breeding game birds in cages.

No bespoke risk assessment for game birds in cages has been undertaken. Before release, gamebirds are considered poultry and are subject to the same avian influenza rules as other poultry. The likelihood of infection depends on the biosecurity maintained at the establishment.
