Development Aid: International Organisations

Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, if he will list each multilateral organisation receiving FCDO funding in 2026/27; the contribution in 2026/27, 2027/28 and 2028/29; whether each is legally binding; and the earliest date on which each could be ended.

Answer

I refer the Rt Hon. Member to the Written Ministerial Statement on Official Development Assistance (ODA) programme allocations 2026-27 to 2028-29 of 19 March 2026 by the previous Foreign Secretary, which set out planned multilateral ODA allocations for each of those financial years. Spending plans are subject to revision in response to changing global needs and priorities.

Most multilateral funding agreements are not legally binding. Funding through the International Finance Facility for Immunisation is an exception, with legally binding payment obligations running to 2036 and International Financial Institution (IFI) replenishments, with payments running to 2032.
