To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, pursuant to the answer of 19 May 2026 to Question 1187 on Cabinet Office and Prime Minister: Email, whether (a) his Department and (b) 10 Downing Street Freedom of Information team determine that Government emails deleted from a user’s inbox but held on Google and Microsoft servers are deemed to be information held by a public authority; and what the definition is of a backup file for that purpose.
