Chinook Helicopters: Accidents
- Question
-
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether her Department (a) currently holds and (b) previously held any documentation relating to the Chinook ZD576 which crashed on 2 June 1994.
- Answer
-
Our deepest sympathies remain with the bereaved families of this tragic accident. The investigation into Chinook ZD576 was led by the RAF, who asked the Air Accident Investigation Branch (a part of the Department for Transport) to assist the investigation. AAIB files and documents associated with this investigation were transferred to the RAF Historical Files Section in 2018.
