Chagos Islands: Sovereignty

Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what proportion of his Department's budget has been spent on the Chagos treaty.

Answer

The Department has not incurred any expenditure in respect of the Chagos treaty to date as the legislation to enable the Treaty has not become law.
