Question: To ask Her Majesty’s Government how many applications for asylum were made in 2015 and 2016 by those to whom they had previously granted visas to travel to the UK from Iraq and Syria.

Figures on asylum claims from Iraq and Syria are published as part of the Government’s Transparency agenda. In the period concerned there were the following claims from Iraq and Syria:
