Low Emission Zones
- Question
-
To ask Her Majesty's Government whether, in relation to ultra low emission zones, they consider motorcycles and other two-wheel motorised vehicles separately from cars.
- Answer
-
As outlined within the Clean Air Zone (CAZ) Framework, motorcycles and mopeds are not routinely included under any category for a charging Zone. Local authorities may choose to include them under a class D CAZ, which charges buses, coaches, taxis, PHVs, HGVs LGVs and cars. The full guide provided to local authorities is attached.
