Israel: Palestinians

Question

To ask Her Majesty's Government what steps they plan to take to protect Palestinians in Kafr Qaddum in the light of reports (1) that explosive devices have been placed by the Israel Defence Force in civilian areas, and (2) of violence towards unarmed Palestinians.

Answer

We repeatedly call on Israel to abide by its obligations under international law and have a regular dialogue with Israel on legal and security issues relating to the occupation. We have also stressed the importance of the Israel security forces providing appropriate protection to the Palestinian civilian population.
