Energy: Prices

Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change what target date has been set for implementation of the Government's policy that every household should be on the lowest energy tariff.

Answer

[holding answer 6 November 2012]: The date for implementation will depend on the details of the policy and the legislation. There are a number of options being considered on how precisely this measure will be implemented and we are discussing these with industry and consumer groups.
