To ask the Deputy Prime Minister what discussions he has had with (a) the Church of England and (b) the Roman Catholic Church on the status of a member of the Roman Catholic Church who married into the Royal Family and had a child.

I have met with members of the Church of England and the Catholic Church on several occasions to discuss various issues. Both the
Church of England and the Catholic Church have been kept informed at every stage as we have developed the Succession to the Crown Bill.
