Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what assessment he has made of the conclusions of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority public consultation on preventing mitochondrial DNA disease; and if he will make a statement.

We are currently considering the advice that we received on 28 March 2013 from the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority and will respond in due course.
