To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what discussions she has had with the (a) Prime Minister, (b) Deputy Prime Minister, (c) First Minister of Northern Ireland and (d) Deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland on the timetable for the introduction of equal marriage in Northern Ireland; and if she will make a statement.

Marriage law is devolved in Northern Ireland, however neither the First Minister nor the Deputy First Minister have raised the matter of equal marriage with the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, my right hon. Friend the Member for Chipping Barnet (Mrs Villiers).
The Northern Ireland Assembly passed a legislative consent motion concerning the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill, on 24 June 2013 which will allow same-sex marriages conducted in England and Wales to be recognised as civil partnerships in Northern Ireland.
