Proceeding contribution from Jamie Stone (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 11 February 2020. It occurred during Opposition day on Migration and Scotland.
Migration and Scotland
I am listening with great interest to a well thought out speech. Members will recall that some months ago I unwittingly invited the former Prime Minister to accompany me to a hotel in the highlands and laughter overtook the Chamber. The point I was making was that the hotel and tourism businesses in the
highlands depend on migrant workers. That was a problem then and I suspect it will be a problem now. I want to put that on the record, because we need to remember it.
