To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether they are taking any steps to encourage more United Kingdom citizens who qualify for the basic State Pension to emigrate; and, if so, what steps.[HL771]

The Government is not taking any steps in this regard. The decision to retire abroad is a purely personal one.
