The investigation into the BHS pension schemes, including the role of the trustees, is a matter for the independent Pensions Regulator.
The actions of the trustees and competence of the trustees are among the issues that we would expect the Regulator to be considering as part of its investigations.

Charities are regulated by the Charity Commission. The Attorney General also has various functions in relation to charities which he exercises in the public interest on behalf of the Crown as parens patriae. The Attorney is aware that concerns have been raised in relation to the governance of the Foundling Museum. He has made enquiries with the parties involved and will consider what further action, if any, he should take bearing in mind the role of the Charity Commission.
