To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what assessment he has made of the number of additional inspectors and specialist staff the Office for Nuclear Regulation will require to deliver its Strategy 2026.
Based on current demand assumptions, the Office for Nuclear Regulation's (ONR) assessment for financial years 2026/27 and 2027/28 is that delivery of its strategy can be achieved broadly within existing workforce capacity levels.
ONR keeps its workforce requirements under regular review through established workforce planning and performance monitoring arrangements and will respond appropriately should future circumstances indicate a need for additional capacity.

The HMPPS Action Plan was published on 19 June 2026 in response to HM Inspectorate of Prisons findings from its unannounced inspection of HMP Winchester between 9 and 19 February 2026.
Action Point 11 focuses on prisoner groups currently underrepresented in access to personal development opportunities. This includes prisoners with neurodiverse conditions or physical disabilities, young adults, and those who may need additional support to participate because of language barriers, basic skills needs or low levels of literacy.

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, how many Supported Exempt Accommodation properties Ofsted inspected in Birmingham in each of the last ten years.
Supported Accommodation registered with Ofsted provides semi-independent living arrangements for 16 and 17-year-old looked after children and care leavers, as they transition towards adulthood.
The Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 came into effect in October 2023, with all providers of Supported Accommodation required to be registered with Ofsted.
Ofsted inspect registered Supported Accommodation providers at least once every three years, and during the inspection will visit a sample of accommodation premises owned by the provider.
The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government will consult on draft regulations under the Supported Housing (Regulatory Oversight) Act 2023 later this year. The regulations will exempt accommodation from having to obtain a license from the local authority in which their housing it situated, if the property is already registered with Ofsted to accommodate 16 or 17-year-old looked after children or care leavers.
Ofsted only began inspecting registered providers from September 2024 and inspection is at provider level, not premises level. There is also no available breakdown of inspections at local authority level, so we are unable to provide data on inspections of any Supported Accommodation in Birmingham since inspections began. Ofsted publish data on the number of premises and inspections at a regional level. To ask the Secretary of State for Education, whether Ofsted inspections will assess compliance with new guidance on inclusion bases and Inclusive Estates.
As a core part of our £3.7 billion high needs capital investment between 2025 and 2030, the department will invest in a transformational expansion of inclusion bases so they become a core part of every local education offer. According to the school census, 1 in 13 schools, or 1 in 7 secondary schools and 1 in 15 primary schools, have a local authority commissioned inclusion base. Additionally, in the January 2026 school omnibus survey the majority of primary school leaders (53%) and a large majority of secondary school leaders (85%) said that their school had a separate dedicated space used to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
We will introduce new data collection measures which will record which settings are operating a base and the pupils accessing it, to provide additional oversight.
In the SEND reform consultation, we set an ambition that in time, we expect every secondary school will have an inclusion base, with an equivalent number of places in local primary schools.
The department recently published guidance for schools and local authorities to help them set up and deliver high quality provision in inclusion bases, as well as support improvements in existing bases. Ofsted considers the quality of provision in inclusion bases and will use the guidance to help inform inspections.

The Government is not establishing a centralised system and already publishes indicators relevant to farmed animal welfare, for example, the percentage of eggs coming from different laying hen production systems. The Food Standards Agency separately publishes welfare indicator data.

The Government recognises the importance of transparency where it relates to the welfare of farmed animals. The Government publishes the Multi Annual National Control Plan (MANCP) Annual Reports which includes national data on inspections.

The HMPPS Action Plan was published on 19 June 2026 in response to HM Inspectorate of Prisons findings from its unannounced inspection of HMP Winchester between 9 and 19 February 2026. HMIP found that personal development opportunities did not reach enough prisoners to make a sustained difference to their wider skills and rehabilitation.
Action Point 11 focuses on prisoner groups currently underrepresented in access to personal development opportunities.

The Government works in international fora, such as the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) to champion the importance of high standards of animal welfare and promote best practice, including on welfare at slaughter.
The Government also works collaboratively with international partners bilaterally to promote high welfare standards, including at slaughter; explore opportunities for sharing approaches that have worked well; and collaborate on mutually held challenges.
