Typhoons were launched as part of the NATO Enhanced Air Policing Mission for Aircraft causing concern to civil controllers and drones which were approaching the NATO Air Policing area of responsibility. Many of the incidents were resolved prior to interception.

The programme for the refurbishment of RAF Northolt. Leuchars and RAF Woodvale are ongoing pending final surveys and approvals.

Work is being conducted to assess the compatibility of relevant projects/activities in the RAF Rapid Capabilities Office with the USAF Autonomy Government Reference Architecture (A-GRA).
For example, the UK's PYRAMID Technical Standard open avionics system reference architecture developed by the Ministry of Defence has been shown to be compatible with the A-GRA.

The review of weapons availability and sustainment for the Royal Air Force has been completed under the 'Optimise' Directive, which coheres initiatives to deliver benefits across the Service. As recommended by the Strategic Defence Review, Defence is reviewing standards, regulations and processes to remove unnecessary burdens that can constrain delivery, increase costs and slow the development, support and training associated with military capability. This work is focused on simplifying and streamlining requirements, removing duplication and unnecessary process, and clarifying which standards are mandatory, while maintaining appropriate safety, security and operational requirements.
Any changes will be targeted and risk-based, with appropriate governance and assurance. Safety, security and statutory requirements will continue to apply where they are essential to protecting personnel, equipment and operational effectiveness.

The RAF is improving productivity across the Air Enterprise through a portfolio approach that prioritises and measures outcomes to increase operational output, improve affordability and enhance workforce effectiveness. Spanning aircraft platforms and key enablers, this work supports delivery of the Strategic Defence Review by increasing readiness, resilience, agility and adaptability.
Over the last year, the Air productivity portfolio has delivered cashable and non-cashable benefits, reduced forecast spend, and improved platform serviceability and availability. It brings together a range of interventions, including improved planning, greater workforce agility and process improvement, with the Optimise initiative forming a key part of this wider approach.
