Air Force: Military Bases

Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to the answer of 7 September 2026 to question 23071 on Air Force: Military Bases, what is the projected year each of the bases listed will be resurfaced.

Answer

The only Royal Air Force location where the runway is being resurfaced is RAF Brize Norton.

The below locations form part of the Air Operating Surface Sub-Programme, which includes repairs to surfaces outside of the core runway.

RAF Coningsby	Work currently being undertaken

The programme for the refurbishment of RAF Northolt. Leuchars and RAF Woodvale are ongoing pending final surveys and approvals.

The Air Operating Surface Programme also includes locations that will receive refurbishment works which does not include resurfacing.
