That this House congratulates the people of Namibia, the Constituent Assembly, the United Nations Transitional Assistance Group and the new Government of Namibia on the forthcoming independence of Namibia on 21st March 1990; further congratulates the United Nations and the supporting international community on their contribution to this remarkable and unprecedented achievement; looks forward to the return of the territory of Walvis Bay to the democratically elected government of Namibia; and calls on Her Majesty's Government to reaffirm their support of United Nations Resolution 432.
