NATO ENLARGEMENT
That this House takes note of the protocols to the North Atlantic Treaty on the accession of the Republic of Poland (Cm 3929), the Czech Republic (Cm 3930) and the Republic of Hungary (Cm 3931), laid before Parliament on 8th April; notes the Third Report of the Defence Committee on NATO Enlargement (HC 469), published on 2nd April; and welcomes the Government's undertaking to give time for an early debate on these protocols in the House, whether or not a request for such a debate was triggered by a notice of motion under the terms of the Ponsonby Rule.
