ENERGY EFFICIENCY RATINGS AND PUBLIC INFORMATION
That this House welcomes the Government's commitment to energy efficiency as part of its determination to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide; notes the efforts made by the Government regarding greater public access to information; and accordingly welcomes the intentions of the Energy Efficiency (Information) Bill, introduced by a cross-party group of honourable Members, which requires that the energy efficiency ratings on new homes, already produced under the current Building Regulations, are made subject to proper quality control and must be made available to prospective purchasers or tenantsof such homes.
