Martial Law in Lhasa
That this House notes the lifting of martial law in Beijing after seven months of repression in that city by the Chinese Government; notes that martial law has been in force for several years in Lhasa, the capital of Tibet; and calls on Her Majesty's Government to condemn the continuation of martial law in Lhasa and to refuse to lift sanctions against China until such time as the people of Lhasa and Tibet are treated equally with the people of Beijing.
