DEEP-DRILLED GEOTHERMAL POWER

That this House welcomes the recently announced Energy Review to assess progress made in achieving the goals set out in the 2003 Energy White Paper; notes the Government's continuing commitment to consider all energy options including emerging technologies; and urges the Review to consider further the immense benefits that would be delivered by utilising deep-drilled geothermal power as a means of meeting the UK's future energy requirements and fulfilling the UK's obligations under the Kyoto Agreement.
