WARM FRONT SCHEME

That this House notes the National Audit Office report showing that more than half the poorest people in Britain cannot, under present eligibility rules, access grants from the Warm Front scheme; recognises that this scheme can help low income families keep warm in winter and reduce carbon emissions by financing improvements to insulation and heating systems; and calls on the Department of Energy and Climate Change to initiate an urgent review of the scheme to ensure that in future all of the most vulnerable households can receive the help they need.
