PARENTAL CHOICE AND CATHOLIC SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN GREENWICH

That this House recognises and welcomes the recent decision of Ministers at the Department of Education and Science, responding to representations from the headteachers, families, parishes and governors associated with St Paul's School and St Thomas More School and from the Catholic and Anglican bishops, to decide after consultation to consider making capital available for expansion of places in effective, popular, denominational schools rather than to allow education authorities to require many children to fill vacant places at different schools.
