TRANSITION BLACK ISLE
That this House congratulates Transition Black Isle on the success of the Million Miles project, a bottom-up, citizenĀ-led project that substantially impacted levels of car use; recognises that this project delivered a reduction of 1,352,277 miles driven, saving 718 tonnes of carbon a year; and welcomes that the work of Transition Black Isle is featured alongside 20 similar projects in the book, 21 stories of transition, produced by Rob Hopkins as part of the transition movements contribution to COP21, the UN's climate change negotiations in Paris on 30 November 2015.
