Rents Into Mortgages
That this House congratulates Her Majesty's Government on the introduction of a rents-into-mortgages scheme for Basildon New Town tenants; urges Her Majesty's Government to make use of local estate agents to explain the advantages of this opportunity to the new town corporation tenants; and warns Her Majesty's Government to monitor the reaction of Labour-controlled Basildon Council who are already campaigning to persuade the new town tenants to transfer to council management.
