Asda Straiton food donations
That this House commends Asda Straiton for its work in donating 2,878 meals to local good causes supporting people during the ongoing covid-19 outbreak; understands that through Asda’s partnership with FareShare, Asda stores across the UK have been donating food directly to charities and community groups through its back of store food donation scheme; further notes that those donations of food, which is fresh, in date and good quality, are made to local good causes through the FareShare Go service, which partners Scottish stores with charities and community groups; congratulates all the employees involved in the scheme; and further congratulates the work of all community groups receiving and distributing the meals.
