Parkway Shopping
That this House congratulates Parkway Shopping in Newbury on winning a Gold International Green Apple Award for Environmental Best Practice; praises Parkway’s innovative project to reduce energy consumption by installing high-efficiency LED lighting, cutting electricity usage by half; notes that this project has improved visitor experiences and will prevent seven tonnes of carbon emissions every year; recognises the hard work of Parkway staff and management in placing environmental practice at the heart of their work; believes that such initiatives highlight the value of locally driven partnerships in meeting the UK’s climate responsibilities and enhancing community cohesion; and calls on the Government to expand incentives for SMEs to invest in renewable energy sources, accelerating our ambition to achieve net zero by 2050.
