That this House congratulates Lelia Gardner, a member of 1st Bishopsteignton Scouts in Teignbridge, on achieving the King’s Scout Award, the highest award in Scouting; notes that this award requires sustained commitment, including the completion of volunteering in the local community, the development of practical and leadership skills, and the undertaking of a challenging expedition; recognises the contribution of Scouting to the personal development of young people and to community life; further recognises the role of 1st Bishopsteignton Scouts and Scout groups across Teignbridge in supporting young people to gain confidence, resilience and skills for life; and thanks the volunteers, leaders and families who support Scouting locally and across the UK.
