Northlands Primary School

That this House congratulates Northlands Primary School in Pitsea on the successful organisation of its 2026 Children's Parliament elections; commends this year's focus on Disability Awareness, which has encouraged thoughtful discussion about respect; recognises the enthusiasm shown by pupils in standing for election and their commitment to supporting vulnerable members of their school community; believes that initiatives such as the Children's Parliament play an important role in fostering civic participation from an early age; considers that educational programmes which encourage young people to understand how they can influence positive change are essential in strengthening democratic participation; and thanks the staff and pupils of Northlands Primary School for their warm welcome, excellent conduct and continued commitment to promoting democratic values and responsible citizenship.
