Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Cynog Dafis (Plaid Cymru), on Tuesday, 25 October 1994, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 27 members in total.

ARMS SALES TO INDONESIA (No. 2)

That this House notes that Indonesia continues its aggressive and illegal occupation of East Timor in defiance of 10 UN resolutions; that plans are in train for the sale of Scorpion tanks, as well as 16 additional Hawk aircraft, by United Kingdom manufacturers to Indonesia; that Scorpion tanks could well be used by the Indonesian authorities against the Timorese resistance and against peaceful demonstrations elsewhere; that the United Kingdom will soon become Indonesia's foremost arms supplier; and calls upon the British Government to desist from its current policy in this regard and specifically not to issue a licence to Alvis for the export of Scorpion tanks to Indonesia.
