EAST TIMOR

That this House expresses its great concern that reports have been received of a serious attack on demonstrators in Dili, East Timor, on Thursday 14th July; believes that three have been killed, 74 are under arrest and many have been wounded and that, in addition, 300 students are trapped inside the University of East Timor surrounded by security forces; and calls on Her Majesty's Government to raise this mattter immediately with the Indonesian Government in view of the previous atrocities perpetrated against the people of East Timor.
