To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, what discussions have taken place between her Department, Ofcom and ITV on maintaining regional news and current affairs programmes in the North West.

Mr. Watts: To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport what discussions have taken place between her Department, Ofcom and ITV on maintaining regional news and current affairs programmes in the north-west. [222150] Estelle Morris: My Department has been briefed by Ofcom and ITV on the implications for regional news and current affairs of Ofcom's review of Public Service Broadcasting.
