To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, what assessment she has made of whether the EU Constitution will increase the powers of the EU over trade policy.

Mr. Brady: To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what assessment she has made of whether the EU constitution will increase the powers of the EU over trade policy. [203149] Mr. Alexander: [holding answer 7 December 2004]: It has not proved possible to respond to the hon. Gentleman in the time available before Prorogation.
