Oral question asked in the House of Commons, by Gordon Prentice (Labour). It was answered on Monday, 14 November 2005 on behalf of the Ministry of Defence.
Nuclear Deterrent
- Question
- I do not look like him. The Prime Minister famously said back in May that he wanted to listen to the views of Members and I think that there should be an informed debate on this issue. Can I ask my Friend on the Front Bench if those five full-timers would turn their attention to drafting a Green Paper setting out the options that the House can consider?
- Answer
-
Once people have done the preliminary work and I have had a chance to look at the recommendations on a number of issues, including that, I may be able to do so, but none has reached me yet. When they do, I will let my hon. Friend know of my decision.
