Stansted Airport

- How many historic or listed buildings will be affected by the proposed building of a second runway at Stansted Airport.

As stated in the Department of Transport’s White Paper The Future of Air Transport, the proposed construction of a second runway at Stansted Airport would entail the demolition of 29 listed buildings and the loss of two scheduled ancient monuments. In total, 45 sites containing structures of local or national historic interest might be affected by this development.
