Discounted Oil

- To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what assessment he has made of the potential impact on the transport infrastructure of the proposed supply of discounted oil to London from Venezuela.

The supply of oil or oil products at discounted rates to the UK is a commercial decision for Venezuela. The Department is not presently aware of any firm commitment by the Government of Venezuela to do so. It is therefore not possible to speculate on the potential implications for UK’s transport infrastructure.
