- Answer
-
The UK-led Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) in Basra is a multi-national, inter-agency operation. The only PRT costs currently being met by the defence budget are those associated with the salaries of around 10 military personnel embedded in the PRT. These costs total approximately £500,000 per annum.
