Prisons: Officers

Question
asked Her Majesty's Government:How many prison officers have been convicted of corruption or other offences connected with their duties as prison officers in the last (a) 12 months; (b) five years; and (c) 10 years.
Answer

The Prison Service does not routinely record this information. The value of doing so will be considered as part of an ongoing improvement plan to strengthen the Prison Service’s approach to tackling corruption.
