Housing: Permitted Development
- Question
- asked Her Majesty's Government:What permitted development rights would be enjoyed at basement level for an unlisted terraced house in a conservation area under the proposals contained in the Changes to Permitted Development: Consultation Paper 2— Permitted Development Rights for Householders.
- Answer
-
The consultation paper does not cover proposals for basements. The Government are currently considering what, if any, works at basement level might be brought within the permitted development regime. Any proposals to bring basement works within the General Permitted Development Order would be subject to public consultation.
