- Question
- To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if she will request that the Health and Safety Executive assess the safety of exit 5 on the M2.
- Answer
-
The safety of the strategic road network in England is the responsibility of the Highways Agency.I refer the hon. Member to my answer of 9 October 2007, Official Report, column 496W. Following investment in this junction between 2000 and 2005, safety improved and the junction is now a relatively low priority in safety terms. The Highways Agency continues to monitor the situation.
