Embassies
- Question
- asked Her Majesty's Government:What proposals there are to sell the British embassies in Paris and Washington DC; and whether any consideration is being given to such sales.
- Answer
-
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has no plans to sell either of the office or residence buildings in Paris or Washington. Sales and purchases of property do, however, play an important part in getting value for the taxpayer in response to changing operational needs and estate performance, so we keep the estate under review.
