Iraq: Detainees
- Question
- To ask the Secretary of State for Defence whether recordings have been made of interviews conducted with individuals captured by British forces during the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan; what his policy is on making such recordings; and if he will make a statement.

[holding answer 18 March 2008]: It is our general policy that in both Iraq and Afghanistan, written or video records are kept of interviews with individuals held in detention by UK forces.
